Alpha is a contemporary representation of Antigone, blending stage and film elements to portray a modern-day tragedy about punishment, memory, and resilience.
The set was a “white cube” created with scrim fabric that served as a projection surface.
The audience faced the cube, where the film and stage action coexisted dynamically.
Inside the cube, a long dinner table became the centerpiece, evolving throughout the performance. The protagonist wore a red velvet dress, identical to her on-screen counterpart, linking the physical and cinematic worlds. Mid-20th-century aesthetics influenced the costumes and props, adding historical depth.
