Inspired by family photo albums, I created 11 visuals using mixed media techniques to critique the traditional notions of home. Themes of domestic violence and enforced isolation were explored, connecting the private struggles of women to broader societal oppression.
The visuals were exhibited in a DIY format during the residency's final conference, blending physical and digital spaces. Passers-by viewed the artworks through a studio window, creating an immersive triple-viewing experience of the street, the artist, and the conference participants.
